An RSS feed (or news feed) is a means by which you can stay informed about what's going on at The Blend Chorus without having to regularly visit the website.
To make use of an RSS feed, you need some "feed reader" (or "aggregator") software. Most modern web browsers have feed readers built in.
The RSS feeds for The Blend Chorus are listed below...
Laura Lewis began her association with Sweet Adelines in 1979 at the tender age of 12, when her mother, Helen (who sang with The Blend Chorus for 42 years--Laura asks that you not do the math) joined. Laura sang along with her mother's quartet whenever they would let her, and she joined the chorus at the earliest moment she could.
Since then, she has served in numerous capacities with The Blend Chorus, including chapter president, section leader, assistant director, and choreographer, before taking on the role of front-line director in May 2010. She achieved the Certified Director status with Sweet Adelines after rigorous testing to meet the standards set by Sweet Adelines International. She also currently serves as the Baritone Section Leader of the High Plains Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International.
Laura is also an experienced quartet singer, having sung with six quartets over thirty years. She has been singing with her current quartet, Lyric, for over five years. As a quartet singer, she has received coaching from some of the best Sweet Adelines has to offer, and brings that wealth of experience back to her chorus.
Laura says that her successes in life, in every arena, have come in large part from the training, confidence and encouragement she has gotten from Sweet Adelines International.
Outside of Sweet Adelines, Laura is an experienced teacher, having taught undergraduate history at Aims Community College for fifteen years. She is currently an institutional researcher at Aims, a job she has held for thirty years. She fills her spare time (what little there is of it) by reading, enjoying her four cats, and spending time with her husband, G. Mark.
